Well, here it is-our last practice before the great shows! Can you believe it? Today is FULL DRESS REHEARSAL until 4:45 pm. No makeup is necessary today.
On Thursday( tomorrow!), Friday and Saturday arrive at school by 6pm. The shows start at 7pm.
Makeup, for both girls and boys, is a must for stage as the lights turn you into ghosts without it!You may apply makeup and have your hair done before you arrive. Your makeup must be stage makeup: Fairly heavy blush and foundation, lipstick and gloss, eye shadow and mascara for girls. Bring in your own makeup for help doing this for the performances and to reapply as needed.
Your hair MUST be off of your face at all times. French braids and ringlets are suggested. Bring in your hairbrush and accessories for help with this from a few BEAUTY SCHOOL STUDENTS coming in to help out for the night performances.
Thoughts:
* The first ensemble song, OPENING FOR A PRINCESS, is the most important one. It sets the tone of the whole show. This tone needs to be confidently done with strong movement, strong voice and strong animations! You need to believe in yourselves so that the audience will believe in the magic of the lights!
**** Ms Wheeler just reported to me that the dressing rooms and her room(backstage) was left in a clean manner. Costumes were hung with care and things were picked up off the floor. She also stated that this rarely happens, so kudos to all of you. This is so important to keep organized so as to be ready for the next performance. I knew all of you could do this - thank you so much.
FUNDRAISERS:
*Snacks for the SNACK SHACK may be brought in on any of the performance nights. If they are ok to keep for a few days, bringing them in on Thursday is a good idea, so we can sell all three days. Most snacks will be sold for $.50 and water for $1 a bottle. The proceeds are going for the cast and crew party on WEDNESDAY, April 1( No fool's day joke!). Thank you for helping us with this fundraiser.
*The bottle drive brought in $13.75. Thank you for those who contributed. This was to offset the cost of fabric.
*Several of the kids came up with their own "fun-raiser"! Check out this as you Leave the show.
*The Best Wishes Notes were a smashing success. Thank you so much. These will make the program a keepsake for your child for years to come.
