3-24-09

Good Tuesday Morning,
And time marches on... We got through our first Full Dress Rehearsal with the whole show and it was fairly good. Your hard work is going to be realized this week. Enjoy your time under the lights!

A few observations and thoughts on the practice:
1. Make sure that you allow time for any audience laughter and clapping
2. Come close to the wood to be heard better
3. If you are in the spotlight, wait until the light BEFORE speaking
4. Be confident and Have fun- the audience will believe you

There are a few other items to mention:
1. Cast needs to respect crew members when they come for you backstage
2. Crew needs to stay in your assignment and be ready for your part
3. Ensemble needs to be quieter when moving on and off the stage
4. Cast and crew need to be invisible when on the side stage
5. Cast needs to stay backstage in Ms Wheeler's room unless told to come out
6. Take care of your costume - this is your responsibility

NO PRACTICE TODAY-
There will be a makeup and hair demo as well as folding and stapling programs. This will be in my room A200 after school until 4pm. You will be able to catch the late bus tonight.

PRACTICE on WEDNESDAY:
FULL DRESS for cast and crew after school until 4:45 pm
(This is a change in time)

Performances: March 26,27,28 at 7 pm for public viewing and March 30 for the school
Please arrive at school at 6pm
( you may want to have your makeup on and your hair done at home)

We will be needing snacks for sale during intermission. Please have them wrapped individually in baggies or plastic wrap. Most snacks will be selling for $.50 and water will be $1/bottle.

Thank you to all the parents who lent a hand, picking up kids, making snacks, costume making, prop making, set making, and all the other parts in making this musical happen. Without you and your support, this would not possible. We are all set for coverage Backstage and for Ticket Sales. Your child has a work schedule for you if you did sign up for either of these. I hope having the blog has been a help for both kids and parents. Thank you thank you thank you....
Again, thank you.

Break a Leg,
Mrs.Charle McAtee
